We are seeking an experienced Zabbix Network Monitoring Engineer to join our Digital Service operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Zabbix monitoring system, Linux systems, and integration frameworks to optimize and automate the performance, reliability, and security of our IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include designing and deploying Zabbix monitoring solutions, developing custom templates and dashboards, ensuring high availability and scalability of the Zabbix environment, and integrating with third-party tools and APIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols, system administration, and Linux systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. They should also be familiar with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Java, and experience with security hardening of Linux systems. We are looking for an experienced Zabbix Network Monitoring Engineer with expertise in Linux administration and system integration to join our Digital Service operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Zabbix monitoring system, Linux systems, and integration frameworks to optimize and automate the performance, reliability, and security of our IT infrastructure. 
Key Responsibilities:
•Zabbix Monitoring & Management
Design, deploy, and manage Zabbix monitoring solutions for network devices, servers, applications, and other critical systems.
Develop custom templates, triggers, actions, and dashboards for effective monitoring.
Ensure high availability and scalability of the Zabbix environment.
•Linux Systems Administration
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
Manage system updates, security patches, and troubleshooting to ensure stable operations.
Optimize server performance and resource utilization.
•Integration & Automation
Integrate Zabbix with third-party tools and APIs for enhanced monitoring and reporting.
Develop automation scripts (using Bash, Python, or Ansible) to streamline monitoring setup and maintenance.
Implement advanced features like event correlation, auto-discovery, and remote monitoring.
•Incident Management & Troubleshooting
Respond promptly to alerts, diagnose and resolve issues in collaboration with IT teams.
Identify root causes and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurring incidents.
Support proactive monitoring and resolution of potential system bottlenecks.
•Documentation & Training
Document Zabbix configurations, Linux system setups, and integration processes.
Provide training to internal teams on monitoring best practices and tools.
•Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Zabbix, Linux, and monitoring technologies.
Evaluate and implement improvements to current monitoring and alerting practices.
Required Qualifications:
•B.A or B.S. (or higher level degree) in Computer Science or a similar engineering program with strong academic performance preferred
•Proven experience with Zabbix implementation, configuration, and administration
•Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP, etc.) and system administration (Linux/Windows).
•Familiarity with virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, etc.)
•Familiar with Linux systems preferably using Red Hat/Fedora, Ubuntu, or Debian.
•Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•Strong knowledge of Git.
•Experience in the scripting language such as python, bash, PowerShell or java.
•Experience with security - hardening of Linux systems.
•Proven success on challenging projects where you made key contributions while demonstrating ownership, creativity, and initiative.
•Competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
