About the Role
Position: Full-time / Employee
Location: Remote-first

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Designing the IP infrastructure of our multi-site data centers
    • Designing the GRX/IPX interconnectivity and global PoP structure to access mobile partner networks
    • Defining the WAN network strategy
    • Leading and realization of the data centre LAN and WAN networks, specifically the configuration of DRAs, GTPs, GGSN/PGW, SBC, FW, Routers
    • Integrating direct roaming agreements and sponsored roaming agreements
    • Tracing of signalling and user plane transport for debug issues
    • Acting as a primary interface between the Core Network team and Airalo’s Platform team, Airalo’s Network Operations team and technology partners (vendors, roaming partners)
    • Core network optimisation and enhancement
    • Supports the operations team in regards to:
    • Deployments and rollouts
    • Performance improvements
    • Perform trainings
    • Supporting the partner’s operations team

Must-haves:

    • Technical Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications preferred or equivalent experience demonstrated
    • 3 - 5 years minimum relevant experience in the telecom core field
    • 3+ years experience with network elements such as: Packet Gateway GGSN/PGW/DPI, direct and sponsored roaming (HLR/HSS), diameter routing and GTP, GRX
    • 3+ years experience with these protocols; Sigtran: MAP (Mobile Application Protocol), Sigtran: CAP (Camel 1-3), Diameter (Ro, Gx, Gy, Gn, Gi), REST API, BGP
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good to have:

    • IREG Testing experience is preferred
    • International working experience is ideal
