Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to deliver consulting services to Rackspace's Enterprise and SME clients. As part of the TAM team, you will provide guidance and best practices to customers undergoing digital transformations, promoting the adoption of cloud-native technologies and driving innovation within their business. You will work with both new and existing customers, collaborating with the broader Rackspace organization to develop and deliver innovative solutions utilizing various public cloud services. The core objective is to assist customers in rethinking their technical platforms and application landscapes, recognizing gaps based on customer's current build and analyzing for future gaps based on proposed changes. You will own coordination with RXT teams to ensure customer satisfaction, recognize gaps, and guide customers through how to implement options. Required skills include first-hand knowledge or experience in industry competitors, products, trends, and technology, as well as advanced knowledge of cloud scalability and customer strategy. Professional qualifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Azure Administrator are preferred. Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct implementation calls.
- Present written and verbal proposals and grow the installed base. Understand invoicing, contracts, proposals and renewals.
- Escalates with guidance and receives escalations. Excellent creative problem- solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
- Intelligently speak to customer technology capabilities, possibilities and pitfalls -- recognizes, understands why and how to fix.
- Owns coordination with RXT teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Recognizes gaps based on customer's current build and analyses for future gaps based on proposed changes, knows why specific options will work for customers and can explain the difference in recommendations.
- Can guide customer through how to implement options.
- Advanced understanding of technology partners and how they can assist our customers.
- The TAM is primarily the customer advocate who will work with Rackspace cloud engineers, CSM, and other stakeholders to translate business and technical objectives into Rackspace solutions.
- TAMs provide impartial advocacy, ongoing support, and assistance for workloads; bring innovative technologies and products to the customer; and provide value-add insight to the customer to ensure cloud efficiency and operational excellence in a hands-off keyboard role.
Required Skills
- First-hand knowledge or experience in industry competitors, products, trends and technology (HOW: usage of competitor technology).
- Advanced knowledge of how to scale customer configurations using dedicated or cloud based technology. Strong understanding of customer’s strategy and profitability and how to use account management tools.
- Professional Qualification expected: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Professional (Preferred), AZ1-04 Azure Administrator, AZ-303/304 Azure Solution Architect (Preferred), Associate Google Cloud Engineer, Professional Google Cloud Architect (Preferred)
- Ability to drive technical strategy of customer's cloud native transformation
- Strong working knowledge and ability to follow company processes and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of the configuration build process.
- Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
- Strong knowledge of Rackspace products and the ability to educate customers in RAX differentiators/comparisons and why they are used in different scenarios.
- Able to prioritize a highly varied work level in order to maintain required productivity levels.
- Able to demonstrate innovative problem solving and critical thinking.
- Flexible and adaptable to work schedule based on customer need.
