Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff SW Engineer to develop and maintain projects in Golang language with deployment on AWS. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience with Golang, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, and cloud platforms such as AWS. They should be able to lead their squad to good outcomes from a technical perspective, participate in technical analysis, and execute Terraform scripts. Additionally, they should have experience reviewing code, understanding high availability and resilience, and presenting solutions based on product needs. The role involves monitoring applications through logs/metrics and contributing to the betterment of other engineers. We offer flexible remote work options, $4,000/year travel stipends, and equity in a fast-growing company.
Job Description
Summary
The disputes team is responsible for generating refunds when a customer does not agree with a purchase. With this in mind, we developed a solution that allows communication with several credit cards in an abstract way. We developed it using Groovy and Golang technologies, with a focus on Golang due to the improvement of the technology used.
What you'll do
- Development and maintenance of projects in Golang language with deployment on AWS;
- Proactively contributes to the betterment of other engineers in the company, through sponsoring, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.

- Consistently leads their squad to good outcomes from a technical perspective, ensuring appropriate engineering decisions are made to factor in technical debt, systems design, stability/reliability, monitoring/observability, and business need.
- Participation in technical analysis with product team requirements;
- Execution of Terraform to create/remove new resources on AWS;

Monitoring applications through logs/metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years experience with Golang
- 2+ years experience with infrastructure as code tools ( Terraform, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation etc )
- Understand the concept of CI/CD
- Experience reviewing code from other team members
- Understand communication using async and message ( SQS )
- 2+ years experience with cloud ( AWS / GCP / Azure )
- Has understanding of high availability and resilience
- Ability to present solutions based on product needs
- Know how to architect new solutions using microservices and aysnc communication
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge in Java
- Team lead experience
- Has worked with critical systems
