Rackspace is seeking a Service Delivery Director to lead and manage solutions and service delivery for public sector customers in Texas. The role involves managing relationships with internal and external partners, coordinating resources, developing business cases, and executing projects. As a hybrid model employee, you'll work two days in the office and three days remotely from Rackspace's new state-of-the-art facility in San Antonio, TX. You'll be responsible for driving resolution of strategic issues, leading a department towards strategic goals, and contributing to corporate development. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of professional experience in business management, operations, or strategy, with previous partnerships with hyperscalers and government contracting experience. Job Description

Summary: Rackspace is seeking a Service Delivery Director to lead and manage solutions and service delivery. In this critical role you’ll be engaged and enabled on vital IT transformation projects for public sector customers. This team evolves, educates and drives public cloud enablement at the architecture enterprise level. 
Work Location: Our new state of the art Castle located in San Antonio, TX. You'll have the opportunity work a hybrid model with two days in the office and three days remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage relationships with internal and external strategic partners.
    • Coordinate resources within the team, the Company, and externally to complete projects.
    • Develop business cases for growth initiatives, cost savings projects, and projects to improve delivery of client support.
    • Execute projects to completion.
    • Drive resolution of strategic issues (competitive, cost structure, etc) affecting current business and future business.
    • Develop, modify and execute policies that have a company-wide effect.
    • Develop and administer departmental budget and schedules.
    • Accountable for the performance and results of a medium-sized discipline in a major region.
    • Lead a department towards strategic goals and objectives.
    • Provide strategic planning for the department and contributes to strategic planning for the division.
    • Adapt and execute business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies.
    • Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
    • Failure to achieve goals will have critical impact on success of functional area and organization.
    • Regularly interacts with executives and major customers.
    • Advise senior leadership on developing and implementing strategic objectives.
    • Act as a servant-leader. Inspires others to creativity and autonomy.
    • Advise Senior Leadership on business decisions.
    • Drive efficiency in service delivery processes and procedures.
    • Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures as directed. 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in business management, operations and/or strategy. This must include experience at the Director level.
    • Previous Partnerships with Hyperscalers (AWS, OCI, Azure, GCP).
    • Government contracting experience.
    • Excellent strategy and road mapping experience.
    • Prefer candidates who possess a public cloud certification.
    • Previous successful customer experience is critical.
    • Travel up to 25%.

Government Investigation:

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS clearance from the State of Texas
