Job Summary
Welocalize is seeking a Norway-based patent filing associate to support client legal teams in executing jurisdiction-specific patent filing and validation activities. The successful candidate will handle national filing and validation of European patents in Norway, collaborate with international legal teams, and provide local representation and insight into the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO) and EPO procedures. This partnership forms part of a broader multi-country filing program focused on optimizing quality, cost, and compliance in global IP processes. The ideal candidate will be registered with the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO), have demonstrated experience in EP validations, PCT national phase entries, or equivalent filing processes, and provide a company profile or brochure and a clear point of contact for coordination. This is a remote opportunity with flexible work options.
Job Description
Scope of Work
- Handle national filing and validation of European patents in Norway.
- Collaborate with international legal teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Provide local representation and insight into the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO) and EPO procedures.
- Offer guidance on timelines, document preparation, and procedural updates specific to Norwegian validations.
- Participate in rate discussions and ensure transparency in service model (hourly or task-based).
Selection Requirements
- Registered with the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (NIPO).
- Legally authorized to file and validate patents on behalf of clients in Norway.
- Demonstrated experience in EP validations, PCT national phase entries, or equivalent filing processes.
- Firm must provide a company profile or brochure and a clear point of contact for coordination.
