Working format:
Cyprus: Relocation package is provided.
Spain: we are only able to hire candidates who possess a DNI (for Spanish nationals) or a NIE linked to a valid working permit in Spain (for foreign nationals). Relocation support is not provided.
Poland: employment will be under 'Umowa o Pracę' (UoP). Relocation support is not provided.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Lead to join our growing fintech company and help scale our IT operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for building and optimizing IT processes while leading a small but impactful team.
Location: Cyprus (relocation) or Amsterdam (with strong preference for Amsterdam for the bus factor), possible remote work in the EU
Team: You'll be leading a team of 3 people (including yourself + 2 engineers)
What You Will Be Doing
- Redesign offboarding processes - Our biggest pain point is managing access removal for departing employees. You'll need to build maintainable automation scripts to replace our current 14,000-line unmaintainable solution
- Streamline onboarding workflows - While our onboarding works, there's room for improvement and standardization
- Asset Management - Implement comprehensive tracking for all company equipment (laptops, office hardware, etc.) to support ISO 27001 and DORA compliance requirements
- Hands-on scripting - Write and maintain Python automation scripts for access management across multiple SaaS platforms
- System integration - Work with our tech stack: JumpCloud (SSO/MDM), Personio (HR), Jira (ticketing), Asset Management, Zapier integrations
- Process design - You have significant autonomy to choose tools and redesign workflows. If you don't like our current stack, we're open to changes
- Process ownership - Design communication workflows with HR, Security, and other departments
- Vendor relationships - Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers
- Mentoring - Guide the team on technical implementations and process improvements
- SLA management - Establish and monitor service level agreements using Jira metrics
- Identity Management: JumpCloud (SSO, MDM, SaaS Management)
- HR System: Personio (source of truth for employee status)
- Ticketing: Jira Cloud with Asset Management
- Automation: Currently Zapier, open to alternatives like Make.com
- Hardware: Primarily MacBooks with some Windows Pro, no Linux support
- Offboarding automation needs complete rewrite
- Asset tracking for compliance (ISO 27001, DORA)
- License management across 18,000+ SaaS applications

Who You Are
- Strong automation skills - Ability to write and maintain Python scripts for system integrations
- Service Desk leadership experience - You've built and managed IT support processes before
- Process design mindset - Can analyze current workflows and design better ones
- Experience with identity management platforms (JumpCloud, Okta, etc.)
- Jira administration and workflow design
- Asset management and compliance processes (ISO 27001, DORA experience is a plus)
- English proficiency - B2 level minimum for stakeholder communication Dutch will be a huge plus
- Vendor management and procurement experience
- Make.com or Zapier automation experience
- You've already solved similar offboarding/automation challenges
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams
- Understanding of fintech compliance requirements
- Track record of building scalable IT processes from scratch
