ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and analytical minded individual to join our team as a Enclosure Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for design & development of Fluence’s energy storage products, focusing on the mechanical perspective. An ideal candidate will have a broad mechanical engineering background as well as strong proficiency in CAD & PLM tools and have ability to tackle difficult engineering problems. Experience in Enclosure / cabinet structures, cooling systems, both air cooling and liquid cooling, is also beneficial. The candidate needs to have a strong engineering skill listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and develop electrical systems and components using AutoCAD Electrical.
•Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts for the equipment across plants.
•Ensure compliance with international certification standards (UL, IEC) during the design and development process.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, Fire and Safety Engineers, Controls engineers, Project managers, Procurements, Logistics and manufacturing teams, to Create drawing packages, Bill of materials, for seamless integration of electrical systems.
•Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and validation testing to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical designs.
•Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, industry trends, and certification requirements.
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
•3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design and development.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Windchill PLM is Must and experience in Creo 3D wire harness design software will be a strong added advantage.
•Strong knowledge of global certification standards, including UL and IEC.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

•Experience in Wiring / Cable routing using electrical 3D design tools and software.
•Experience in Automations, creating AutoCAD Plugins
•Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing processes and quality assurance protocols.
•Knowledge of electrical component selection and sourcing.
Project management experience or certification.
•Experience in product development from the concept stage through prototyping, final design, and manufacturing
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? 
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in CAD Engineering. 
•Expertise in industry-standard CAD software AutoCAD Electrical.
•Strong ability to create, modify, and analyze 3D models and assemblies ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
•Proficient in producing detailed and accurate technical drawings and blueprints.
•Highly skilled and detail-oriented product designer involved in the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to production.
•Experience in Windchill PLM, and BOM  is required.
•Experience in Enclosure, battery energy storage system (BESS) is an added advantage.
•Strong proficiency with ISO, ASME Y14.5-2018 drafting standards.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and findings in a clear and concise manner.
•Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
•Good presentation skills.
