Job Summary
Welocalize is seeking a Dutch Music Localization Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in music, media, or creative localization and be fluent in Dutch (Netherlands). They will translate and adapt music-related content into native-level Dutch, bringing an authentic tone and voice to the client's global platform. The specialist will work on a daily/weekly availability basis, using CAT tools and collaborating with the assessment team to complete testing. Welocalize offers steady volume of work, professional development opportunities, and a multicultural team environment. As a remote worker, you'll have 24-hour support from the community team.
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES
- Translate and post-edit music-related content with precision and creativity.
- Adapt tone, style, and structure to reflect the Dutch music scene, culture, and idiomatic usage.
- Collaborate with our assessment team to complete brief testing in our platform (grammar + UX/marketing task).
- Maintain brand consistency and linguistic accuracy across UI, banners, and promotional assets.
- Provide feedback or suggestions for improving content relevance and impact.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum 4 years' experience in music, media, or creative localization.
- Strong familiarity with current music trends, genres (Pop, K-Pop, Hip Hop), and cultural context.
- Excellent command of Dutch (Netherlands) and deep cultural fluency.
- Demonstrated experience with UI/UX copy, music metadata, or artist bios.
- Comfortable using CAT tools and adapting content to multiple platforms.
- Degree in linguistics, translation, or journalism. Creative writing background preferred.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Published work on platforms like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, or similar.
- Experience working with music streaming services.
- A flair for adapting voice and style to Gen Z or pop culture audiences.
