Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction as a Director, People Partners, ensuring alignment of people-related strategy and initiatives with company objectives and priorities.
- Lead, inspire, motivate, and engage team members to achieve their best performance, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Set clear goals and expectations, establish team objectives, communicate expectations clearly, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, regularly assess individual and team performance, offering constructive feedback and guidance for continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and drive the strategy and implementation of global talent development programs, people initiatives as frontline on execution to the business, organizational design, succession and implementation of HR policies for our managers and employees to foster a high-performance culture and drive employee engagement.
- Work with the People team to deliver an empathetic and customer service focused experience for everyone at Deputy. Primarily supporting our Sales and Marketing teams across AMER (and the UK) as their dedicated People Partner.
- Work as a strategic advisor to provide regular support to manager and team leads with regard to all aspects of the employee life cycle including performance management, internal mobility, and employee relations.
- Work with the broader People team to deliver an empathetic and customer service focused experience for everyone at Deputy.
- Support internal communication to ensure employees are kept informed and motivated.
- Drive and execute People projects as a part of a global People Team roadmap and strategy.
- Advocate AMER & EMEA community efforts and events to elevate morale and engagement.
- Conduct regular manager training to build skills and develop our leadership and management teams.
- Utilize metrics and reporting to assess and enhance the effectiveness of people programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leadership on people-related matters, offering insights and guidance to support decision-making.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute key talent initiatives such as succession planning and workforce planning.
- Lead performance management processes, including evaluations, feedback sessions, and identifying opportunities for employee growth and development with a focus on preventing issues.
- Oversee the design and delivery of manager and employee training initiatives to support organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to champion and ensure unified inclusion efforts, striving to maintain a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
Qualifications
- 12+years of progressive experience in strategic HR roles, with a focus on leadership, talent development, HR business partnering, and employee-centric program design.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment in global technology companies private and public.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving results and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive change in fast-paced, complex organizational environments (Tech and Non-Tech).
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, ideally in both the US, AUS and UK.
- Passion for driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Prefer experience with the tech stack of a start-up and various SaaS operating systems (GSuite, Slack, Confluence).
