Job Summary
Cyderes is seeking a Director of Sales Development to build and scale their global Sales Development function. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in B2B Sales Development or revenue leadership, with 3+ years managing Sales Development teams. They should be able to architect the playbook, build the team, drive pipeline generation, and work closely with marketing, sales, RevOps, and enablement to align strategy with execution. The Director will own Sales Development-sourced pipeline goals and results in partnership with marketing and sales, define and continuously refine Sales Development strategy across inbound, outbound, ABM, and event-driven motions, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize lead flow, qualification, and conversion. They should also be able to recruit, hire, and manage Sales Development leaders and reps, create and manage onboarding, training, and enablement programs, and leverage data to diagnose performance issues and inform resourcing decisions. Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Ownership
- Build and scale a high-performing Sales Development organization across multiple regions
- Own Sales Development-sourced pipeline goals and results in partnership with marketing and sales
- Define and continuously refine Sales Development strategy across inbound, outbound, ABM, and event-driven motions
- Develop territory coverage, hiring profiles, team structure, and compensation alignment
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, sales leadership, RevOps, and enablement to optimize lead flow, qualification, and conversion
- Collaborate with product marketing on persona-level messaging, plays, and feedback loops
- Act as the voice of the Sales Development team in campaign planning and GTM strategy
- Talent Development & Team Management
- Recruit, hire, and manage Sales Development leaders (managers and team leads) and Reps
- Create and manage Sales Development onboarding, training, and enablement in partnership with Sales Enablement
- Implement performance management, career progression, and SDR-to-AE pipeline programs
- Build a bench of future AEs and GTM leaders by identifying and developing internal talent
- Technology, Process, & Analytics
- Own the Sales Development tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Gong, 6sense) in partnership with RevOps
- Design and maintain Sales Development dashboards and reporting to track activity benchmarks, conversion rates, and forecasting
- Leverage data to diagnose performance issues, optimize cadences, and inform resourcing
- Evaluate and implement new tools to enhance SDR productivity, personalization, and attribution accuracy
Requirements:
- 5+ years in B2B Sales Development or revenue leadership, with 3+ years managing Sales Development teams
- Proven track record of building and scaling Sales Development teams at high-growth companies
- Experience managing managers and geographically distributed teams
- Deep understanding of full-funnel metrics and pipeline contribution levers
- Strong collaborator with marketing, sales, RevOps, and enablement
- High proficiency with modern GTM tech stacks
- Clear, motivating communicator who builds culture, process, and high accountability
