Job Summary
Airtm is seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead its marketing strategy and execution, shaping how Airtm reaches and engages its users as it positions itself globally. The CMO will oversee all aspects of marketing, from user acquisition to retention, brand development, and market expansion, ensuring Airtm becomes the home of the digital entrepreneur economy. With 15+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles for consumer digital-focused startups and/or large consumer-tech brands, the ideal candidate will drive user acquisition with a strong focus on optimizing CAC, LTV, and overall marketing efficiency. They will also architect go-to-market strategies for new market entries, product launches, and expansion initiatives, develop and refine attribution models to be precise, and support the broader team to secure partnerships with key ecosystem players. Airtm aims to make it happen by facilitating low-value cross-border payments and local cashouts, connecting Digital Entrepreneurs with the enterprises and online marketplaces that need their talents. The company is pioneers in decentralized payment infrastructure and seeks a CMO who can build growth loops, tackle churn, and combine deep analytical acumen, technical expertise, and creativity to simplify complex problems into intuitive user experiences and product features aimed at triggering growth loops. With a strong leader who understands how to pull their weight and sway perspectives at the executive level, Airtm is looking for someone who can reconcile ambitious growth vision with short-mid-long term growth drivers and make bold marketing decisions based on intuition and experience.
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive user acquisition with a strong focus on optimizing CAC, LTV, and overall marketing efficiency.
- Architect go-to-market strategies for new market entries, product launches, and expansion initiatives. Make them work fast.
- Develop and refine attribution models to be precise; optimize conversion funnels to remove all user friction possible.
- Support the broader team to secure partnerships with key ecosystem players.
- Build Airtm into a brand people trust with their money, making Airtm the voice of payments in emerging markets.
Professional Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles for consumer digital-focused startups and/or large consumer-tech brands.
- Cross-border payment market knowledge.
- Expertise in both B2B and B2C marketing, understanding the unique challenges and strategies required for each.
- Proven track record of successfully translating a vision into an executable marketing strategy in a cross-functional growth-stage environment.
- Experience scaling a marketing team, driving funnel conversion, and looking past surface-level conclusions to uncover the underlying user story.
- Experience leading deeply integrated marketing plans and aligning business strategy.
- Strong intuition around customer´s needs and desires
- Strong intuition around culture and how to hire people who align with our organization's principles.
- Building and positioning brands globally.
- Leading customer profiling efforts to define user personas, markets, and subsequently inform marketing and other areas efforts.
- Creating strategic narratives while navigating legal constraints.
